Rathi Cows are known for their high milk productivity rate. Originated in western region of Rajasthan, this breed of cattle can be noticed in Jaisalmer, Ganganagar and Bikaner. Rathi Cows can survive in extreme environmental conditions like scorching heat of summer, dry monsoon season, chilly winter etc. These cows have been named after a pastoral tribe namely Raths. This tribe is basically Muslims of Rajputs who lead nomadic life. Brown body color with distinctive white patch marks all over the body is the main feature of this species of cows. On average, this species of dairy animals can produce 1560 kg milk.
